With each day passing by, we have been seeing a host of new details of the upcoming Mahindra Scorpio N leak on the internet. We recently caught a glimpse of the second row and boot space of the SUV and now, we have our hands on the dimensions of the Scorpio N. The Mahindra Scorpio N is going to be ‘the big daddy’ of the SUVs in the truest sense judging by the numbers. However, let’s compare it to its rivals and predecessor to see how it stacks up:

The Mahindra Scorpio N is 4662mm long, 1917mm wide, 1870mm tall and has a wheelbase of 2750mm. Compared to the old Scorpio, the new model is 206mm longer, 97mm wider, 125mm shorter and has a 70mm longer wheelbase. Though its wheelbase is similar to the XUV700, it is 33mm smaller in length, and wider and taller by 27mm and 115mm respectively. Compared to the Tata Safari, the Scorpio N is longer by 1mm, wider by 23mm, taller by 84mm and has a 9 mm longer wheelbase.

Features and Powertrain

The center console houses touchscreen infotainment which gets physical controls and knobs below. Additionally, it gets a swivel wheel which to control the screen which is similar to the XUV700. This confirms that the Scorpio N will get the Adreno X system that we saw on the XUV700. This system will come with Sony’s premium sound system. The screen is flanked by two vertical A/C vents. The lower half features dual-zone climate control and a panel with physical buttons for various.

Some of the features include front and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree camera, an electric sunroof, wireless smartphone charging, a comprehensive MID, TPMS, cruise control, and push-button start/stop. The Scorpio-N will share its powertrain with the Thar and the XUV700. The power figures are also expected to be somewhere between the two. The petrol engine will be the turbocharged 2.0-liter Mstallion unit. The diesel engine will be a 2.2-liter Mhawk unit. Transmission options will include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic transmission. The diesel engine will come in two states of tune. The lower tune will be reserved for the entry-level variants to achieve an aggressive starting price. It will also be offered with a 4×4 system dubbed as the 4-Xplor.
