TVS Motor Company is all set to launch the new Apache RTR 160 in India. We will be covering the event live from launch venue in Chennai. You can also watch the live-stream of the launch in our Youtube video embedded in the article. Meanwhile, let us tell you what we already know and expect from the upcoming Apache 160:
The new TVS Apache RTR 160 has been spotted testing on public roads on multiple occasions, giving us a few clues on what to expect from the Honda CB Hornet 160R and the Suzuki Gixxer 155 rival. The upcoming Apache RTR 160 will draw its styling cues from its elder sibling, the Apache 200. A few changes as compared to the latter will include a single piece seat over the split seat setup and brushed silver side panels instead of the black coloured panel. The model will also carry forward a few features such as the fully digital instrument cluster, mono shock suspension and LED tail lights.
Details regarding the engine specifications of the 2018 TVS Apache RTR 160 remain unknown at the moment although the model is likely to produce a slightly higher power output than that of the outgoing engine which produces 15.21 PS of power and 13 Nm of torque. Expect the model to continue using the five speed transmission. The previous generation of the Apache 160 did not feature ABS, even as an option although TVS could offer it as standard in lieu of the upcoming safety norms.
As we mentioned earlier, we’ll be covering the event live from the launch venue so don’t forget to keep hitting that refresh button. We’ll also be going live from the launch event via our Youtube channel incase you wish to watch the complete launch event.
