Replacement for the Gallardo, the Lamborghini Huracan LP610-4 was launched in India yesterday at a price of Rs 3.43 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Italian car maker expects their new super sports car to be well received in India and will start delivering cars starting next month. It is rather surprising that a niche and luxury product like the Huracan will be delivered in such a short time when buyers for cars like the Maruti Celerio have to wait for a year to get behind the wheels of the little hatchback. Currently, Lamborghini  manages its sales through two exclusive dealerships, one each in Delhi and Mumbai and plans to setup a new outlet in Bangalore by the end of this year.

When asked about the company’s sales target for the current year, Henry said no target has been set for this year, but 2015 is expected to be a better year in terms of growth. “This year is the year of transition and cannot be compared, but next year we will have a full year. So 2015 will be interesting to compare with,” he said.
