KTM RC200 vs Honda CBR250R: Spec Sheet Comparison

Soon, its going to be the Austrian vs the Japanese, on battleground India. KTM has already been seen testing the RC200 alongside the highly capable CBR250R on a couple of occasions (CLICK HERE for earlier sighting) and this means just one thing- BAL-KTM is benchmarking the KTM RC200 against the segment leader- the Honda CBR250R. Nothing surprising here considering that unlike the Duke 200, which is a street naked, the RC200 is a faired motorcycle that will have power figures similar to the baby CBR, arguably the most successful fully faired sub-300cc motorcycle in India. While only a good test ride will reveal if the CBR needs to be worrisome about the arrival of the RC200, here’s a quick spec sheet comparison to give you an idea of how the KTM RC200 fairs against the Honda CBR250R.

  1. The CBR produces 26.5Ps power…

Secondly, the dry weight approx should work out to 148kgs to 154kgs for the non ABS and ABS versions respectively and nothing less than that…

  2. one more thing can be added RC200 comes with projector headlights which hav edge over cbr 250R

  3. Firstly lol..reason 1- rc will be lighter than cbr but 8kgs heavier than duke200 with same engine which s already overpowered. 2-cbr 2013 model hav Thai ecu 26.3bhp power check Honda website so got more power 3- who said rc will definitely come with abs? 4-1.5lkhs on road of duke so for it not to be affected rc will be around 1.8lkhs on road slightly more than cbr nonabs , not value for money in my view which has less cc less top speed and less refined engine , less comfort of same price for only orangish looks n an ugly face,.

  4. I think the only thing that will go against the RC200 will be the bloaty soundtrack if the engine is an unaltered carry forward from the duke 200.
    Else thumbs up for RC200..!
