While we have all seen a few flashes of that astonishing Aston in the latest Bond flick, Spectre, it’s only now that the first full length trailer of the movie has landed. And must we say, Sam Mendes, the director looks in top form this time around. He is back with a vengeance, apparently with an intent to shut all the critics up who compared the booby traps deployed by 007 in his previous Bond movie with similar set-ups in the Home Alone series.
The good news for auto aficionados is that there seems to be plenty of car action. While Bond’s Aston looks absolutely spectacular, this time around Ben Whishaw’s young Q also clarifies how fast it can go. 0-60 (mph) in 3.2 seconds he declares, followed by Daniel Craig’s wish to be able to disappear.
I have always been a big fan of Christoph Waltz’s – he’s a man at the very top of the Hollywood’s acting skills food chain. It would be great to see him play Franz Oberhauser, a self proclaimed author of all of Bond’s pain. Bond’s crusade against SPECTRE (the Special Executive for Counter-Intelligence, Terrorism, Revenge and Extortion) seems action packed with choppers flying with their blades upside down, a Land Rover Defender getting hurled like a toy and that sexy DB10 engaging itself into plenty of spectacular car chases, one including the gorgeous Jaguar C-X75.
If just cars don’t do it for you, the flick also features an ever sensuous Monica Bellucci, as the Bond woman (nay, we can’t really call her a girl anymore) along with action star and Léa Seydoux.
