There was a time, not long ago, when Hyundai cars used to be at the butt end of every car joke. The established auto makers around the globe never considered Hyundai as a potential threat and the Korean car giant used to be best described as ‘also ran’ on the world ranking charts.
However, thanks to some really aggressive strategies, Hyundai has finally come of age and has been busy conquering various car markets all over the world. As per an international brand consultancy firm – Hyundai Interband,has grown at an impressive rate and has become the world’s fastest growing automobile brand. It may be noted that Hyundai’s brand value rose by 24.4% in recent times and stands at USD 7.5 billion.
“Hyundai’s recent investment in global campaigns and sensational new product designs are fulfilling customers’ emotional needs. Brand awareness for Hyundai has increased phenomenally in a short period of time and we are looking forward to the brand’s future direction,” a statement from Interbrand said.
Hyundai now ranks at 53, from 84 earlier, among the Interbrand’s 2102 Best brands report.
Hyundai has also bettered every other auto manufactures in the J. D. Power and Associates 2012 Customer Retention Study in the US.
