Hyundai presents ‘Art for Hope – Season 3’, empowering talented artists nationwide showcasing India’s rich heritage of art, craft, and culture

Empowering Artists Nationwide

Art for Hope – Season 3 brings together 40 gifted artists from 20 regions across India, selected through a meticulous evaluation process. Among the grantees are 25 individuals, 5 art collectives and NGOs, and 10 differently-abled artists, reflecting HMIF’s commitment to inclusivity and diversity in the arts.

Showcasing Artistic Diversity

The four-day event, held at Triveni Kala Sangam, New Delhi, from March 28-31, 2024, offers visitors a glimpse into the vibrant world of Indian art and culture. The exhibition features a diverse range of artworks, including traditional arts and crafts, paintings, art installations, photographs, and performing arts, curated with the grant support provided by HMIF.

Promoting Accessibility

Art for Hope – Season 3 prioritizes inclusivity by incorporating tactile artworks of selected pieces and braille-text descriptions, ensuring easy accessibility for differently-abled visitors. Moreover, the event features sign language interpretations and other accommodations to cater to diverse audiences.

Engaging Workshops and Discussions

In addition to the exhibition, Art for Hope – Season 3 hosts a series of workshops and panel discussions aimed at fostering creativity and dialogue within the artistic community. Workshops cover various art forms, including calligraphy, mask making, mobile photography, and traditional painting, providing participants with hands-on learning experiences.

A Platform for Social Change

Panel discussions delve into pertinent topics such as cultural sustainability in a globalized world and the role of art as a catalyst for social change. Eminent speakers from the cultural and social sectors lead these discussions, offering valuable insights and perspectives on contemporary issues in the arts.

Recognizing Artistic Excellence

Art for Hope – Season 3 also highlights the achievements of young change-makers from underprivileged backgrounds through a special screening of films created during the ‘MyMobileMovie’ workshop. This initiative shows HMIF’s commitment to supporting emerging talent and providing opportunities for socio-economic empowerment through the arts.
