Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) continues to set new benchmarks in the 125cc motorcycle segment as it celebrates crossing the 30 lac customer mark in western India with the Honda Shine. HMSI achieved its first 15 lac customers in over 11 years but, in a testament to its accelerated growth and unwavering customer trust, the recent 15 lac customers were gained in just 6.5 years. This remarkable feat highlights Honda’s dominant position in the 125cc motorcycle segment in three western states – Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Goa, with Maharashtra being the highest contributing state with 20 lac+ sales.

Honda Shine & SP Leading the Way
HMSI’s Shine 125 and SP125 motorcycles have been delighting customers with their advanced features, stylish design, and superior technology in the 125cc segment. These two motorcycles are the top sellers in the western region and have contributed significantly to the company’s achievement. HMSI holds a commanding market share of over 57% in the 125cc motorcycle segment in the region, with every second 125cc motorcycle sold being a Honda.
Introducing the SP125 Sports Edition
To celebrate this milestone, Honda has introduced the SP125 Sports Edition, designed to make a bold statement with an aggressive tank design, matte muffler cover, enhanced graphics, vibrant stripes on the body panels, and alloy wheels. Available in attractive Decent Blue Metallic and Heavy Grey Metallic color shades, this model is designed to turn heads. The SP125 Sports Edition is equipped with class-leading features, offering great value for money. It boasts a bright LED headlamp, a fully digital instrument console with a gear position indicator, and other mileage information. The SP125 is known for its thrilling performance, powered by a 123.94cc, single-cylinder BSVI OBD2 compliant PGM-FI engine that delivers 8 kW of power and 10.9 Nm of torque.
