The Takata controversy is far from being a thing of the past as manufacturers across the world are still recalling their products to replace the faulty airbags. Honda Cars India announced a voluntarily recall to replace Takata passenger front airbag inflators of 190,578 vehicles of previous generation of Accord, CR-V, Civic, City and Jazz. This recall is a part of Honda’s precautionary global recall campaign concerning Takata front airbag inflators.
The replacement will be carried out free of cost at Honda Cars India dealerships across India in a phased manner. While the campaign for CR-V and Civic will begin immediately, the replacement of inflators for other affected models would begin from September 2016, and the company will communicate with customers directly.
The customers can check whether their cars are covered under this campaign by submitting their 17 character alpha-numeric Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) on the special microsite which has been created on the company’s website (www.hondacarindia.com).

Finally hONDA had woken up in India… As per their convenience… I Hv been driving around a CRV & JAZZ resp. For the last 8 & 7 years resp. On Highways … Feelin’ Safe ???
