Here’s what we know about the New Audi Q7 Petrol to be launched on September 1st, 2017

Audi India is all set to launch a Petrol variant of its flagship SUV, the Q7, on September 1st, 2017. Owing to declining levels of interest in diesel cars among the Indian masses, the Q7 Petrol 40 TFSI adheres to Audi’s plans of offering a comparatively cleaner power source for all of its current models by the end of 2017.

Presently, the Audi Q7 is available in two diesel variants in the country, the 45 TDI Quattro Premium Plus and 45 TDI Quattro Technology. To satisfy the needs of those SUV buyers who look for a petrol-powered premium SUV, Audi aims to take a step in the right direction with the introduction of the Q7 40 TFSI.

The Audi Q7 40 TFSI is powered by a new 2.0-litre TFSI (turbo-petrol) engine, which produces maximum power of 255PS along with a generous peak torque of 370Nm. This engine is mated with an 8-speed automatic Tiptronic-transmission to ensure great fuel efficiency. A few minor-upgrades in the Q7’s powertrain include an exhaust manifold that has been re-designed and the introduction of Audi’s valve-lift system.

The Audi Q7 40 TFSI is said to be loaded with all the features that can be found in its diesel counterpart. Modern gadgetry on the Q7 petrol will include LED headlamps with variable intensity, Audi’s ‘Parking System Plus’ with 360-degree surround view camera and a powerful Bose 3D sound system. It will also be equipped with Audi’s Drive Select feature which enables the driver to run the Q7 40 with ease in varying dynamic conditions with the help of its electronically controlled air suspension that also features adaptive damping.
