Ford has announced Red and Black Editions of the Fiesta which will have more power churned out from the 1.0-liter EcoBoost engine.
The award-winning 3-cylinder 1.0-liter EcoBoost from Ford is now available with a new state of tune- 140 PS (103 kW) along with the 100 PS (74 kW) and 125 PS (92 kW) states of tune. The American car maker says it provides more power-per-liter than a Bugatti Veyron and Ferrari 458 Speciale. With this engine under the hood, the Fiesta hatch will dismiss the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) mark in 9 seconds and will keep accelerating before topping out at 125 mph (201 km/h).
“These two new Fiestas make an unquestionably bold statement on the road and will give drivers an equally distinctive experience behind the wheel with a sportier version of our 1.0-litre EcoBoost and enhancements to the Fiesta’s acclaimed ride and handling,” said Roelant de Waard, vice president, Marketing, Sales & Service, Ford of Europe.
Fitted with this engine, the Fiesta hatch returns a fuel efficiency figure of 52.3 mpg US (62.8 mpg UK or 4.5 liters / 100 km) with corresponding CO2 emissions of 104 g/km. These Red and Black Editions also feature a stiffer and sportier suspension setup as well as new gear ratios for the five-speed manual gearbox and a tweaked electronic power assisted steering system.
Wearing Race Red or Panther Black exterior paint, the models can be visually distinguished by their sporty front and rear bumpers, standard Panther Black 16-inch alloys or optional 17-inch, different side skirts and a roof-mounted spoiler. The models also feature bespoke front upper and lower grille surrounds, front bumper aerofoil and mirror caps in contrasting color, along with glossy black center stack and door handles, contrasting red stitching and a black leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear lever gaiter.
PLEASE MOFOGOIN FORD, get this amazing piece of machinery to India…or ATLEAST GET THE 1.0 LTR ECOBOOST PETROL with ESP and ABS to INDIA.
Why this pithy, sad behavior with the choice of engines….really disaappointing to long awaiting prospective buyers like me.

No, they aren’t India bound. RHD vehicles are meant for many parts of Europe
I guess the answer is obvious but still, Therese cars aren’t India bound are they ? They do feature right hand drive as per the images. So was just curious. Appreciate any clarification on the same.
