Force Motors launches Force one at Rs 10.65 lakh: all the details!

Force Motors have launched their highly anticipated Force One SUV today. The company has introduced only one variant of the model and have priced it at Rs 10.65 lakh ex-showroom Mumbai. The new SUV will have ‘Be the Force’ as its punchline.

The seven seater SUV, also the first proper premium product from Force Motors, is powered by a 2.2-liter Daimler sourced common rail engine producing peak power rated at 141 bhp @ 3800 rpm and 315 Nm of torque @ 1600-2400 rpm.  The ARAI certified fuel efficiency for the vehicle is 11.6 kmpl. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission, coming again from Mercedes-Benz. The engine is currently BS-IV compliant, but can easily be made BS-V compliant.

Intercontinental The Lalit in Mumbai witnessed the launch of the SUV by none other than Amitabh Bachchan unveil the vehicle.  The big man of Bollywood is also the brand ambassador for the new SUV

While a price of Rs 10.65 lakk ex-Delhi and Rs 11.1 Lak Ex-Mumbai may sound like a great price for such a full sized SUV, the catch is that the vehicle won’t have ABS or airbags. Now that’s a funny fact, as the vehicle features advanced features such as Cruise Control. But even with the omission, Force One is very good value for money, especially after taking into account the fact that features like leather upholstery and steering mounted controls are standard features. Omitting something more basic like ABS and airbags is still surprising to us though. The third row of seats is not suitable for full size adults. As we had reported to you earlier as well, the ride and handling of the new car has been tuned by Lotus Engineering of the UK.
