The wait is over! Every Pulsar lover and Pulsar hater in this country has been waiting to lay his hands on the Pulsar 200 NS. While the former want to check out how good the new gen Pulsar is, the people in the latter catagory are waiting to point out the flaws in the new age Pulsar. Well, it’s time for the itch on the hands to cease. After a lot of speculations and rumors, our good friends have informed us about the price details of the new bike.
Regulars here might remember that we reported that Mr.Rajiv Bajaj had commented that the bike will be priced below INR 1 lahk. Well, he kept his words but the result is as we expected it to be. True to our fears, the bike has been priced only marginally lower than the 1 lakh figure. The On road price of the ‘all new Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS’ at Mumbai is INR 99,220. The bookings for the much hyped and eagerly awaited bike are now open and the booking amount is Rs.10,000. The fine print condition here is that INR 1000 will be deducted in case of cancelation of booking. The source here is the Bajaj KTM Mumbai dealer which has the bike at its premises and this where our friend Mr.Deepak Dongre spent some time with the new bike. The showroom guys are stating a delivery time of 3 weeks. Going by the hype and hopes this bike has created, we believe that the waiting period might soon shoot up and aim for the moon.
It may be noted that the Pulsar 200NS and the current gen Pulsar series are in different galaxies altogether. And this is from your truly, who uses a Pulsar 220 on a daily basis. Deepak took the 200NS for a short spin and reports that the bike has a comfortable seat that offers a good support. Our readers might remember me wishing for a better bolstered seat when I tested the 200NS at Bajaj Chakan track and our dear friend’s claim here gives me a fair assurance that the guys at Bajaj have reworked on the seat since we tested it.
