The Ford EcoSport is easily among the most loved mainstream cars on sale in India today. The Ford EcoSport, thanks to its decent engines, long features list, competitive pricing and stylish exteriors, have always been in our good books. While the EcoSport surely looks nothing like anything on sale in the country today, it hasn’t remained untouched by car customizers out there. Seen here on this page are a handful of modified Ford EcoSport images that have been sent to us by our friend and Motoroid Mezaan Anees. This modified Ford EcoSport started life as a regular diesel variant of the popular compact SUV but soon after Merzaan bought this car, he took it to Khaiser Pasha, who worked his magic on this set of wheels.

The car has been given a new two-tone paint scheme, with blue being the dominant color on this vehicle. The bumpers, the roof, the pillars and the side skirts have been given a black paintjob. All of this surely helps this EcoSport look considerably different than the gazillion ‘vanilla-EcoSports’ out there.

The front fascia of Mezaan’s EcoSport looks much like that of the DC-modified version that was launched earlier. (CLICK HERE for DC EcoSport images and details). The revised front fascia of the EcoSport we have here boasts of a gaping air-dam and LED DRLs that have replaced the original headlights. The headlights have instead taken a lower position, and seem to have got a projector setup.

At the side, the car can be seen carrying a discreet foot board, along with sporty looking side skirts. The car also gets blacked out pillars, black painted door handles and black painted ORVMs. Other than this, the car also gets a set of aftermarket mag wheels, which have been shod with 255 spec low profile 17 inch tires.

At the rear, save for the bespoke paint scheme and aftermarket alloy for the spare-wheel, there’s hardly anything to differentiate this car from the regular model.

Mezaan’s EcoSport boasts of a race dynamics diesel tuning box, which offers various performance modes that can be selected using a remote! Mezaan is in the process of getting a dyno-test done for his baby and will be soon sending us the results.

  1. The EcoSport is a one off car, in India & if I am here longer, I would get the Titanium Petrol version. To this day, I still turn my neck around to look at one.

Personally, I don't like DC Design; its trash. But here's what I think about the Khaiser version.
It certainly is, to put it nicely, different. Beautiful? No, definitely not. Its like the EcoSport was involved in a freak accident & they managed to salvage & graft parts from a robot. So it resembles what can be compared to as a Humanoid, or a handicapped with robotic prosthetics, which could have been a nice thing if it were done well. But it is not.

I cannot contemplate the design aesthetics of that oversized Dodge Ram hood scoop – pointless. The EcoSport does not need one so damn annoyingly, freakishly large. That gaping grille and the hood scoop, along with other tasteless addons, will most certainly have an indirect effect on the aerodynamics of what was once, a beautiful vehicle.
The front fascia resembles a lot to the DC kit, which is a bad thing. It does not flow into the factory air dam & has a complete disregard to the EcoSport design language.

The blue paint though standard, does not complement the black – thing to have been noted while choosing the black paint. The side profile is pretty stock, minus the skirts, which also does not complement the profile, whatsoever.
The rear is completely stock which is a bad thing, It feels like an incomplete mod. Good job with the 17", although the choice of rubber and rims are completely distasteful.

If I do see Meezaan's Eco Sport on the road, I would definitely give it a second look, albeit disapprovingly. But I guess that is what he was going for – a 2nd look.
That is the problem with most mods in India today, hardly anyone knows about aesthetics & styling. Pity.
