Azharuddin’s son critically injured in a bike accident

Mohammed Aiyazuddin, son of former Indian cricket captain Mohammed Azharuddin, is fighting for his life after he met with an accident while riding his Suzuki GSXR 1000 in the outskirts of Hyderabad. Aiyazuddin was known for playing in the under-19 cricket team. His cousin, Ajmal-ur-Rehman, 16, who was a pillion to him and sustained severe head injuries was declared dead by doctors at the Apollo Hospital, Jubilee hills. Chief Surgeon Dr Mahesh Joshi said that when they were brought to the hospital at 9 am, they had no pulse and not were not respiring on their own.

The mishap occurred around 9 am near Puppalguda tollgate on Outer Ring Road when the Sports Bike they were on,skidded, police added that Ayazuddin was riding the bike.

The doctors are trying to keep him alive,” hospital sources said, indicating the seriousness of his condition.
