23 year old plunges car into a lake; blames the onboard navigation system for the accident

Here is one perfect example of what can happen when your GPS or navigation system screws your case, big time! A woman ended up in an extremely embarrassing situation when she obliged to the commands given by here route guiding system. The news comes from Ontario, Canada and the ill-fated vehicle involved in the incident was a Toyota Yaris.

A 23-year-old from Kitchener, Ontario was on her way to her destination through a rough foggy night. To get to her desired place she reportedly opted for some help from the navigation system as the surroundings were not familiar to her. Very little did she know that she was in for near life threatening experience.

The weather was unsupportive with dense fog and rains. The lady made a wrong turn and reached a boat launch at Little Tub Harbour. The driving conditions were difficult but the woman kept marching on the route guided by her navigation system and next thing she realized was that she had plunged her car into the lake.

The woman dragged herself out of the sinking car in time and saved her life as she rolled down the window and swam out of the lake. The woman was successful in saving herself but the unlucky car sank. Though the unplanned swim remains to be a funny and embarrassing situation, the 23-year-old has kept her spirits high. The red Yaris was pulled out of the lake the next morning. Moral of the story – Never blindly believe the navigation system. Secondly, never drive in difficult weather conditions. Lastly, if you plunge yourself into a lake don’t panic and get your rear out of it safe.
