Doesn’t this 2015 Aprilia RS4 125 Replica look absolutely fetching? Agreed, it’s all of 125 piddling cubic centimeters in size and is a nippy commuter at the very best, but this pretty little thing makes bikes like the Repsol livered Honda CBR250R look absolutely vanilla flavored.
The main highlight here is of course, the race derived livery- a nod to the big boys of SBK. It mimics Sylvain Guintoli and Marco Melandri’s rides in the 2014 World Superbike championship.
The RS4 125 Replica, even with the pint sized capacity is still has thoroughbred racing intentions. The frame is SBK derived, with two lateral beams of die-cast aluminum alloy with crossed reinforcements for excellent stiffness and torsional rigidity. There are 41 mm upside down forks up front, while the rear sees a monoshock mounted on an asymmetrical swing arm.
Power comes from a fuel injected 4-stroke, DOHC 124.8cc single cylinder motor, with a peak power of 15 hp @ 10,500 revs and a maximum torque figure of 10.9 Nm (8 lb-ft) at 8,250 revs. The front mounted 300mm brake disc and the rear 218mm one provides ample stopping power.
