2011 Suzuki Hayabusa – Pics & Specs revealed!

Suzuki has announced its line up of new models for 2011 and the new Suzuki Hayabusa grabs the spot light.
The ultimate sport tourer will don new colours and graphics – Pearl Mirage White with gold trim and Pearl Nebular Black with red trim and  will be powered by the same 1340cc, liquid- cooled, 4- cylinder engine coupled with an optimized 6- speed transmission. Lightweight aluminum alloy pistons with a compression ratio of 12.5:1 are used to maximize performance. Hard, smooth chrome- mitride Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) coating on the upper compression and oil control rings on each piston reduces friction and improves cylinder sealing. The engine is fed via Suzuki’s Dual Throttle Valve (SDTV) fuel injection system with dual 12- hole, fine- spray injectors per cylinder and ram air intake with large volume airbox.
Weighing about 260 kg, the new Hayabusa stands on 3- spoke cast- aluminum alloy wheels with radial tyres – 120/70ZR17M/C at the front and 190/50ZR17M/C at the rear. Front brake allows for smaller 310mm rotors coupled with radial- mount calipers resulting in reduced unsprung weight and improved handling. A single piston rear brake caliper works in conjuction with a 260mm rear brake disc.
Suzuki Clutch Assist System (SCAS) serves as back- torque limiting system for smooth downshifts and also contributes to a light clutch pull. The Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (S-DMS) will allow rider to choose from three different engine settings depending upon road conditions and rider preference. To reduce carbon emissions, the Busa is equipped with Suzuki Pulsed- secondary Air- injection system (PAIR) which ignites unburned hydrocarbons.
The instrument cluster features four analog meters for speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge and water temperature with a S-DMS mode indicator, gear position indicator and adjustable engine-rpm indicator. The headlight is vertically stacked with increased intensity and the LED taillights will come with clear inner lens and red outer lens.
The price tag has not been revealed yet.
