To commemorate the sales of 25 lakh Alto cars, Maruti Suzuki India Limited has released the Alto 800 Maximum Limited Edition. With the new variant, Maruti Suzuki is offering new decals, a roof spoiler and other goodies inside the cabin. The value of all the add-ons on the new car, if Maruti’s claim is to be believed is Rs 66,666.
In addition to the changes made to the exterior, the Alto 800 Maximum also comes equipped with central locking, keyless entry, multi stereo and speakers and art leather seat covers.
The 800cc, three-cylinder engine of the car has a peak power rating of 48PS and peak torque rating of 69Nm. The factory fitted LPG kit on the car comes with a 2 year warranty, and offers a claimed efficiency of more than 30 km per kg.
The Alto is one the most successful car models in the history of the Indian auto industry. The all-time bestseller was briefly displaced by the bigger Dzire compact sedan for the no.1 slot. The Alto, however, reclaimed its top spot promptly.
