The New 2014 Land Rover Discovery facelift makes its Public Debut at Frankfurt

Remember we posted patent leaks of the 2014 Land Rover Discover facelift some days back? Now, the car has been officially unveiled at the ongoing Frankfurt Motor Show and here we bring to you all the official details and images of the updated Land Rover Discovery.

As can be seen in the images, the updated Disco gets a revised front fascia which consists of a new grille, a new bumper and revised headlights which get daytime running lights. The car also gets two new alloy wheel designs and the ‘Land Rover’ badging on the hood has given way to ‘Discovery’ letterings.

The car gets a slightly updated 3.0-liter SDV6 engine, which now emits 213g of CO2 per km (versus 230g/km of earlier motor). The engine also becomes more fuel efficient, with claimed figure of 35.3mpg. The engine comes mated to an 8-speed ZF auto box.

The car also gets a set of new features which consists of Wade Sensing technology, Blind Spot Monitoring, Closing Vehicle Sensing, Reverse Traffic Detection, T-junction Cameras and Meridian audio system.

The bookings of the 2014 Discovery have commenced in UK and the deliveries are scheduled to begin in mid-November.
