The HX250R is powered by 250cc single-cylinder four-stroke fuel-injected engine that puts out 31PS of power and has a kerb weight of 139 kgs. The HX250R also comes with an optional ABS. This gives the Hero MotoCorp’s HX250R an upper hand over its closest rival, the Honda CBR250R.
The Hastur on the other hand is powered by a liquid cooled 620cc parallel twin with a patented CSI cylinder head that churns out 80 PS of power and has a kerb weight of 159.7 kgs. The claimed 0-100kph time is 3.8 seconds while the top speed is said to be near 240kph. Once launched, the Hastur is likely to face competition from KTM’s 690 Duke and Kawasaki’s ER-6n.
