Eicher Trucks and Buses, a part of VE Commercial Vehicles, consolidated its presence in multi-axle range with the nationwide availability of the Eicher Pro 6037; a higher payload 37 ton GVW truck. The Eicher Pro 6037, earlier unveiled at the Auto Expo is equipped with advanced telematics, M Booster, EMS 3.0, EPS, real time fuel coaching and cruise control.
The Eicher Pro 6037 comes with the M Booster (Mileage Booster) system that is claimed to provide high fuel efficiency through a combination of energy conservation processes. The model comes with Eicher Live Advanced Telematics; offering uptime management, fuel management and trip management services.
The model also comes equipped with a 4 cylinder VEDX5 engine and a 9 Speed Transmission, DOMEX chassis and a fully suspended sleeper cabin. The vehicle is said to suit the long haul applications such as market loads, tankers, cement, and frozen goods transportation while the Cruise Control ensures a fatigue free driving experience.
Commenting on the growth of heavy duty segment in India, Vinod Aggarwal, and CEO, VE Commercial Vehicles said that the heavy duty sector is expected to touch a new peak in the current year with huge growth in the segment based on both replacements as well as additional truck requirements with a massive focus on infrastructure and core sectors in the economy. With their entry into the fastest growing 37 ton segment, their position in HD segment will strengthen and they will consistently grow their market share in HD segment from a current market share of around 5%.
