German luxury carmaker Audi has finally launched the much-awaited third-generation Q3 in India. The new SUV arrives with a redesigned exterior, an updated cabin and several new features. Prices start at Rs 51.99 lakh (ex-showroom) for the Nova variant, while the top-spec Zenith costs Rs 55.99 lakh. Audi has also introduced new lighting technology and a revised dashboard layout, while retaining the petrol engine and Quattro all-wheel-drive system.
Price And Variants
The 2026 Audi Q3 is available in two variants, Nova and Zenith. Both get the same engine and transmission, but the higher variant offers additional equipment.
- Nova: Rs 51.99 lakh
- Zenith: Rs 55.99 lakh
The new model costs around Rs 8.32 lakh more than its predecessor. Bookings are open through Audi dealerships and its official website, with a reported token amount of Rs 1 lakh. The SUV is assembled at Audi’s manufacturing facility in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra.
Exterior Design And Dimensions
The new Q3 gets a larger-looking front grille, a muscular bonnet and slimmer LED daytime running lights. The front bumper also features a silver skid plate, while the sides get silver roof rails, chrome window surrounds and new alloy wheels.
The rear features split LED tail lamps, dynamic turn indicators and an illuminated Audi logo. The lighting setup is one of the major updates.
- Configurable DRLs with 23 individual lighting elements and four signature options.
- Digital Matrix LED headlights with 25,600 individually controllable micro-LEDs on the Zenith.
- Customisable welcome-light projections, Orientation Light and Lane Light functions.
- 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels.
The SUV measures 4,531 mm in length, 1,859 mm in width and 1,623 mm in height. It has a 2,681 mm wheelbase and a 488-litre boot.
Five colour options are available: Glacier White, Tambora Grey, Sage Green, Navarra Blue and Mythos Black.

Cabin And Features
Stepping inside reveals a total interior transformation. The dashboard is dominated by an 11.9-inch digital driver’s display paired with a massive 12.8-inch touchscreen infotainment hub. By moving the traditional physical gear selector up to the steering column stalk, Audi engineers have freed up significant space along the center console for deeper storage bins and large cupholders.
The premium equipment sheet includes:
- A sweeping panoramic sunroof and three-zone automatic climate control.
- Full leather upholstery and power-adjustable front seats with driver-seat memory.
- Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.
- Fast wireless smartphone charging, rich ambient lighting, and a hands-free powered tailgate.
- Zenith Exclusives: A crisp Head-Up Display (HUD) and a flagship 12-speaker, 420W Sonos sound system.
- Nova Audio: A highly capable 10-speaker, 260W sound system setup.
While the front seats offer excellent support, taller passengers might find the rear knee room slightly snug on longer journeys. Furthermore, despite the premium price tag, luxury buyers might be disappointed to find that seat ventilation and a 360-degree parking camera are missing from the features list.

Safety Equipment
The new Q3 gets nine airbags, front and rear parking sensors, a rear-view camera, hill-hold assist, all-wheel disc brakes and Level 2 ADAS. The model has also received a five-star Euro NCAP safety rating, although the Indian version does not get every safety feature offered internationally.
Engine And Specifications
Audi continues with a 2-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with a seven-speed DSG automatic gearbox and Quattro all-wheel drive.
| Specification | Details |
|---|---|
| Engine | 2-litre turbo-petrol |
| Power | 204 PS |
| Torque | 320 Nm |
| Gearbox | 7-speed DSG |
| Drivetrain | Quattro AWD |
| 0-100 kmph | 7.1 seconds |
| Top speed | 229 kmph |
There is no diesel or plug-in hybrid option for India at launch.
Rivals And Verdict
The Audi Q3 competes with the BMW X1, Mercedes-Benz GLA and Mini Countryman. Its all-wheel-drive system and advanced lighting equipment are key talking points, while limited rear-seat space and missing convenience features could disappoint some buyers.
The new Q3 brings substantial updates to Audi’s entry-level SUV. Whether these changes justify the higher price will depend on what buyers value most in a luxury car.
