2026 Maruti Brezza Spied Testing Again: New Features, Subtle Design Tweaks and a Familiar Formula

Updates to familiar cars matter because they affect people who already trust them. Maruti Brezza is one such SUV. It’s been around for a while, it sells well every month and is often a choice of families looking for something dependable. With the 2026 update now being tested on Indian roads, it is evident that Maruti Suzuki is playing the game of refinement rather than reinvention.

Recent spy images reveal a fully camouflaged Brezza, but some changes still manage to stand out. The front design is still largely similar, however the headlamps appear to have been changed slightly. The LED DRLs are sharper than before and the front bumper now houses parking sensors, something the current model lacks. This addition should make city driving easier.

From the side, the SUV receives a fresh alloy wheel design. A torn section of the camouflage also hints at slimmer body cladding, which suggests a cleaner look with less plastic. At the back, previous sightings indicate redesigned LED tail lamps and a revised bumper. The exact sheet metal changes are still unclear.

Inside the biggest update is the infotainment system. The existing 9-inch touchscreen is likely to be replaced with a larger 10.1-inch unit. The cabin could also see improved materials, a redesigned instrument cluster, ventilated seats and an improved sound system. Features such as the head-up display, 360-degree camera and turn-by-turn navigation are likely to continue.

One test vehicle also revealed a six-speed manual gearbox. This might be for better highway efficiency, though a new turbo petrol engine seems unlikely. The Brezza is expected to continue with the 1.5 litre naturally aspirated petrol engine and factory CNG option. The petrol version makes 101hp, while the CNG produces 86hp.

There is also talk of an underbody CNG tank. If it is true, boot space should remain usable, with a spare wheel and tyre repair kit included.

The facelift will be based on the same Global C platform and safety features such as six airbags, ESP and hill hold assist will be carried forward. ADAS does not appear to be likely at this stage.

Variant-wise feature distribution, colour options, pricing and the exact timeline for launch are still unknown. The updated Brezza is expected to arrive in the coming months and should continue to sit in a competitive price range.

With these updates, the 2026 Brezza looks set to remain relevant while sticking to what it already does well.
