Maruti & Honda Join Hands to Promote Road Safety

In an effort to promote road safety efforts in Manesar and Bhiwadi with the Manesar Industrial Association and Bhiwadi Manufacturer’s Association, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) worked in partnership with Honda Cars India Ltd (HCIL) and Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. To encourage a culture of road safety in businesses operating in the Bhiwadi Industrial Area, HMSI’s Tapukara Plant joined forces with Honda Cars India Limited and Bhiwadi Manufacturer’s Association. This campaign aims to raise awareness of road safety among companies doing business in the Bhiwadi Industrial Area.

Similar to this, on November 2, 2022, HMSI Manesar worked with Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. and IMT Manesar Industry Association to provide training on road safety issues to employees of several firms in Manesar. Along with Mr. Atsushi Ogata, Mr. Pawan Yadav, President of the Manesar Industrial Association, and Mr. Rahul Bharati, Executive Officer of Maruti Suzuki India Ltd., also attended this event.

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India, Honda Cars India Limited, and Maruti Suzuki India will train individuals in road safety as Master trainers under this project. The staff working in various industries in Bhiwadi & Manesar would then receive additional training from these master trainers. Additionally, this program will focus on developing specific locations in the Bhiwadi and Manesar industrial sectors and improving the state of the roads there.

Globally, road safety is the top priority for Honda. “Honda will strive for zero traffic collision fatalities involving Honda motorcycles and automobiles globally by 2050,” the company stated in April 2021. Since its founding in 2001, HMSI has promoted road safety in India as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR). Honda’s global safety objective is being realized as a result of HMSI’s road safety awareness campaign, which has now reached more than 50 lac Indians. At its 7 Safety Driving Education Centers and 10 adopted traffic parks throughout India, its staff of qualified safety instructors conducts daily programs (SDEC).

In addition to this, HMSI’s 1000+ dealerships all throughout India promote road safety.

The risk-prediction skills of riders are improved by HMSI’s exclusive virtual riding simulator, and new customers are given predelivery safety advice (PDSA) before they begin riding at every dealership in India.

Additionally, HMSI launched the digital road safety education programme Honda Road Safety E-Gurukul to make sure that learning doesn’t stop in the New Normal. This initiative has educated more than 8 Lac Indians about the value of being aware and responsible road users since it began in May of this year.
