Recently, we reported about Mahindra Scorpio and Tata Safari based defence vehicles that were being showcased at the DEFEXPO 2012. Apart from the Safari Storme based UV, Tata had also showcased an all new Micro Bullet-Proof Vehicle concept.

The MBPV is meant for combat in tight spaces, eg, airports and features bullet proof panels, firing ports and compact dimensions. The MBPV is very manoeuvrable, thanks to its 4-wheel assisted turning.

Tata Motors have worked a lot of assistance from the VRDE-DRDO. MBPV should now go to Force One, Para Battalions, NSG and marine commandos.
