Sometime back, we had reported that Hyundai’s sister Kia was caught testing the Picanto hatchback in India and now, the Picanto has been caught testing again. This further consolidates that Kia is quite keen to debut in India and we believe that their cars can be positioned at a price point that will be a tad lesser than the contemporary offering from Hyundai. This is fairly possible as we saw Skoda positioning its products at a slightly lesser price point than Volkswagen. Once again, our good friends at TeamBHP chanced upon a Picanto being tested Velachery, Chennai and managed to take a few quick pics.
Some people believe that the Kia Picanto will be launched with a Hyundai badge but that is a very rare possibility as Hyundai has a super wide lineup of small cars that covers the entire of A and B segments.
