The Ducati 899 Panigale is on its way out and filling its shoes would be the much talked about 959 Panigale. While the new motorcycle will be unveiled at the EICMA Motorcycle Show in Milan in November 2015, this new Ducati has already been snapped with absolutely no camouflage, apart from one small sticker covering the product name on the fairing. The 959 Panigale will continue to use the underpinnings of the 899 while borrowing design cues from the bigger 1299 Panigale. The new Panigale will be a part of Ducati’s nine-model strong  display at this year’s EICMA Motorcycle show.

Latest images of the new Ducati 959 Panigale come from the folks at Autoevolution who report that these new set of spy images were snapped near the Italian two-wheeler maker’s factory in Bologna, Italy. At first glance, the new 959 Panigale may resemble the 899 but a closer inspection reveals the similarities with the much bigger 1299 Panigale. The 959 Panigale receives a 1299 Panigale-style headlight, fairing and mirror stems with a slit. The motorcycle borrows the conventional two-sided swingarm from the 899 Panigale instead of the single-sided unit from the 1299 Panigale to keep cost in check.

There is no word about the power plant that would propel this new Ducati but some leaked documents by California Air Resources Board (CARB) suggest that 959 Panigale would receive a 955cc liquid cooled motor. We really cannot be specific about the output figures here, though. The Ducati 899 Panigale delivered 150PS of power and 99Nm of torque and we expect the additional 57cc of displacement to bump up those figures marginally.

As mentioned before, the new 959 Panigale will be a part of Ducati’s nine product line-up meant to be displayed at the 2015 EICMA Motorcycle Show in Milan. All the details will be revealed at the motoring event so stay tuned for all the updates. Do share your views about the new 959 Panigale with us through the comments section below.
