BMW Group owned British car maker Rolls Royce is pretty regular with coming up with special edition of its luxury cars.
Rolls Royce has now unveiled the a new special variant of its Ghost sedan at the ongoing 2013 Auto Shanghai, which started a few hours back. The choice of venue is courtesy the high demand for special edition of luxury cars in China.

Dubbed as the Rolls-Royce Ghost Alpine Trial Centenary Collection, the new variant pays tribute to the Silver Ghost that embarked on the Austrian Alpine Trials in 1913. Rolls-Royce Works Team and privateer entrant James Radley won this endurance race.

Thanks to the inspiration from Redley’s Silver Ghost, the new Ghost Alpine Trial Centenary Collection will come draped in a “baby-blue” paint job and will have black grille and wheels.

On the inside, the car will have a clock that shows the stages of the rally and timings. The inserts on the picnic tables and the dashboard show the topography and distances of the Alpine route. The headliner of the upcoming variant takes design inspiration from the hood of Radley’s car.
