Audi’s most affordable crossover till date, the new Q2 has been perked up with some Edition #1 goodness. The special edition Q2, which has been announced for the UK, comes in a special shade of Quantum Gray. The Edition #1 gets the S line package as standard, which includes sportier bumpers, side skirts and rear diffuser insert. It also gets blacked-out C-pillars and ORVM housings, along with titanium-black trim on the grille and bumpers. The Q2 Edition #1 rides on anthracite-finished 19-inch wheels.

Inside, the Edition #1 treatment continues with adjustable sport seats, multi-function steering wheel, color-adjustable LED ambient lighting, gray headliner, and two-tone black and light brown upholstery in fabric and leather. The Q2 Edition #1 can be ordered with any of the engines that the standard model is available with. The order books open in early-September with UK deliveries to begin in the fall.

Based on the Volkswagen Group’s MQB platform, the compact Audi Q2 is available with as many as six different engine options, ranging from a 114 hp strong, 1.0-liter, turbocharged, three-cylinder petrol unit to a 2.0-liter turbo-diesel unit with 190 hp on tap. Transmission choices will include a seven-speed dual-clutch box or a six-speed manual box. Audi’s Quattro all-wheel-drive isn’t even an optional equipment on the new Q2, and all models are front wheel driven.
