A recent study by National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, United States show that women are twice as likely to step on the accelerator pedal accidently than men are.
This study was done by TransAnalytics research firm along with Highway Safety Research Center at University of North Carolina. The data was acquired from the police and news reports on car crashes that happened in North Carolina and at elsewhere.
As per news reports, 77% of such accidents took place in parking lots, garages and driveways. However, before the fairer sex calls me sexist, let me add that of all the accidents to happen, it is us men’s fault 60% of the time.
