The changes on the 2015 Honda CR-V facelift will include :

  1. New front bumper
  2. Trapezoidal fog lights
  3. LED accents
  4. New engine grille design
  5. Revised tail-light graphics
  6. A lower bumper cladding similar to that on the Honda Jazz and City

Honda’s popular SUV has been soldiering along despite heightened competition. Nevertheless, it needs a cosmetic upgrade to hand it an edge over other competitors. The design changes also include aerodynamic upgrades to lower drag on the 2015 Honda CR-V facelift. A lower drag coefficient of the vehicle will translate into a higher fuel efficiency. In addition to the design upgrades, the Honda CR-V facelift will also boast of new powertrain upgrades.

An improved fuel economy will definitely be high on the list of concerns for Honda’s engineers. Hence, there is a high probability that Honda will introduce the latest Earth Dreams engine on the new Honda CR-V. This engine also does duty on the new Honda City sedan. Another option will be a turbocharged petrol engine that Honda has been working on since quite some time. Infact, Honda had announced last year that it had three new turbocharged engines in the pipeline. One of them is a 1.5 Liter turbocharged petrol engine which will replace the ageing 2.0 Liter i-VTEC powerplant.

Other changes to the new Honda CR-V will include updated interiors with a longer feature list. There will be additions to the list of exterior colour options as well.

A probable time window for the unveiling of the new Honda CR-V facelift will be the 2015 Geneva Motor Show.
