16,000 Ford Figos sold in 14 weeks!

The heat has been turned on in the ‘Small-Car’ market in India. Presently, Maruti Suzuki holds the title of ‘King’ for this particular market with its maximum share. However, the market is not being ignored by other major brands that are doing their best to grab a better share in the world of ‘Small-Car’ in India. One amongst them is Ford.
The Figo is Ford’s latest offering in the small car segment. The Fi‘GO’ has gone way ahead in sales which indicates that Ford is in the right path which can lead to success in the ‘Small-Car’ market. The Ford Figo was launched exactly 14 weeks ago and the firm has managed to sell a whopping 16,000 units of the vehicle. This amounts to a little more than 163 cars per day. However, this is just half the story narrated. To add to the good sales figures, Ford has more than 21,000 bookings at hand.
In order to cope up with the rising demand, Ford will introduce another shift at its manufacturing facilities so as to speed up and increasing its production capacity. The Ford Figo offers a Diesel option too which could be one of the reasons why the car is selling in good numbers. On the other hand, other small cars like Chevrolet Beat, Hyundai i10 and Maruti WagonR & Estilo do not offer a diesel variant.
Good Going Ford! But we really hope the waiting period doesn’t make customers too impatient.
