Only this month, the new 2015 Audi TT was spotted on test by the good folks at TopGear Malayalam. Now, IAB has managed to capture the new 2015 Audi TT on test in Bangalore. The test mule wears no camouflage and is here on Audi’s global testing program of the car.
First showcased at the Geneva Motor Show 2014 in March this year, the new TT is seen in India after only two months of its showcase. While the new model will be taking sometime to be available in India, the car has been brought down as India has a wide variety of road conditions, temperature and terrains.
The new TT retains some of the design cues from its older gen model, but still is every bit a new car and comes with an all new design and styling. The front end of the car sports LED headlamps and an evolution of Audi’s Bulgarian beard.
The new 2015 TT is 90 kilos lighter than the outgoing model. The diesel variant of the car will be propelled by a 184 PS 2.0 TDI motor. This motor has enough grunt to catapult the car to 100 kmph from standstill in just 7.2 seconds. This variant has a max speed of 235 kmph. Also available internationally will be a TFSI motor with a displacement of 2.0 liters. This motor is available in two states of tune – 230 PS – 370 NM and 310 PS – 380 NM (available with TTS models). The car will be mated to a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed S-Tronic DSG. The car can also be ordered with AWD.
