A Tata Bolt sporting orange dashboard inserts has been spied undergoing testing. The interior trim reflects the one on the various Indica Vista Anniversary editions that Tata had rolled out in the past. Expect top spec variants to be loaded to the gills with equipment.
The highly anticipated Bolt hatchback, along with the Zest compact sedan promises to turn around the tides of Tata Motors’ passenger car division which has been swarming in a bit of a mess lately.
The new Tata Bolt will be powered by the new turbocharged Revotron petrol engine that has a max power of 85 PS @ 5,000 rpm and peak torque of 140 Nm between 1,750-3,000 rpm. The diesel variant is powered by the tried and tested 1.3-liter Quadrajet diesel motor that has a max power of 75 PS and peak torque of 190 Nm. The Tata Zest diesel engine variant will get an AMT and there are good chances that even the Bolt diesel will be launched with an Automated Manual Transmission, which should make it the cheapest diesel fueled automatic car in India.
