Maruti Suzuki Invicto: Design and Aesthetics

Maruti Suzuki Invicto is based on the TNGA platform also used in Innova Hycross. However, the design of the Maruti Invicto is different from the Innova Hycross with a slew of cosmetic tweaks. On the front profile, the Invicto gets a new hexagonal grille with chrome slats and surrounds. Moreover, the front design of the MPV is accentuated by the sleek LED headlights, DRLs, and a large fog lamp housing with fog lights. The stance of this MPV is complemented by the upright nose and bumpers with wider skid plates. With these elements, it’s clear that the Maruti Invicto has a different design than Hycross.

On the side profile, the MPV looks bold and massive in road presence for a Maruti Suzuki vehicle. The Invicto sits on the smaller 17-inch machine-cut alloys which enhances the beauty of the MPV. Apart from alloys, there are not many differences between Innova Hycross and Invicto. Regarding the rear profile, Maruti Invicto gets stylish LED taillights and a chrome slat on the tailgate. The rear bumper looks basic and gets black treatment and reflectors.

The Interior of Maruti Suzuki Invicto

Maruti Suzuki Invicto: Interior and Features

Like the exterior, the interior of the Maruti Suzuki Invicto is largely similar to the Toyota Innova Hycross. However, Maruti Suzuki has provided the all-black interior theme with bronze accents on AC Vents and the centre console. The AC vents, steering wheel, and dashboard panels also have some satin silver accents. Maruti Suzuki has loaded the Invicto with a plethora of convenience and technology features. The features list includes:

  • 360-degree camera
  • Panoramic Sunroof
  • Power Adjustable driver seat
  • 7-inch digital instrument cluster
  • Auto Dimming IRVM
  • Memory function for the seats
  • 10.1-inch touchscreen with Suzuki Connect, wireless Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay connectivity
  • Dual-Zone Automatic Climate Control
  • Rear Automatic Climate Control System
  • Ventilated front seats and cupholders

Maruti Suzuki Invicto: Powertrain, Performance, and Fuel Efficiency

Maruti Suzuki Invicto is powered by the 2.0L 4-cylinder hybrid engine mated to an electric motor set-up. This powertrain delivers a claimed combined output of 183hp of power and 206nm of torque mated to an e-CVT gearbox. With this powertrain, the manufacturer claims a 0-100 time of 9.5 seconds and a fuel efficiency of 23.24 kmpl.

Talking about performance, the Maruti Suzuki Invicto offers great performance on the part throttle. The outright acceleration of the MPV is good and delivers an optimum torque output. On the hard throttle, the engine becomes quite vocal and noisy and it isn’t meant for pushing beyond the limits. However, this engine delivers excellent fuel efficiency and during this test, it returned around 7-8 litres/100kms which results in 12-15 km/l. In the EV mode, this car can cover a distance of around 10 km.

Maruti Suzuki Invicto: Suspension, Ride Quality and Braking

The suspension of the Maruti Suzuki Invicto is well-tuned for Indian road conditions. Moreover, the manufacturer has provided 17-inch higher profile tyres and nice-looking alloys. This results in a great ride quality with bumps being absorbed easily on the roads. The undulations arent very prominent in the MPV and the stability is excellent.

Maruti Suzuki is offering all 4-disc brakes as standard in the Invicto. With this braking set-up, the Invicto offers an excellent braking performance.

Maruti Suzuki Invicto: The Conclusion

Overall, the Maruti Suzuki Invicto offers the best package for an ideal MPV buyer. The design is attractive with the chrome treatment in certain areas, machine cut-alloys, and sleek LED lights. The Invicto gets a black interior with a clean layout of the dashboard with easily accessible controls. In terms of features, Maruti Suzuki offers a plethora of features excluding ADAS and more comfortable Ottoman seats. The Invicto serves as an ideal MPV for its users with good space and practicality. In simple words, Invicto is powerful, stable, fuel-efficient and comfortable as an MPV.
