Discovers in various avatars have swung by ever since Bajaj introduced them way back in 2004. Since then, Bajaj has been at it, tinkering the Discover over time to suit rapidly changing tastes of the commuting class. The new Discover 150 twins are Bajaj’s new jab at the premium commuter segment, and now form the flagship of the Discover lineup- the range now starts with the 100T and these new 150 twins top it off.
What twins?
The Discover 150 comes in two flavors- a half-faired F and the more skimpily dressed S, which does away with the fairing.
What’s the difference?
The 150 F’s half-fairing shows a modicum of sporty intent, while the partly digital instrumentation and LED tail lamps add some more finesse. The 150 S gets a smaller bikini fairing, but retains the F’s headlamp cluster along with the pilot lamps, yet does away with the LED tail lamps. The S also gets a regular analog instrument cluster. Apart from that, both the bikes share the same cycle parts. Also, all that paraphernalia also makes the F 5 Kgs heavier than the S- that does very mildly reflect on the dynamics a tad, but more on that later.

To Srinivas , the tuning that the sales person has done is simply a carburattor tunning . You should probably take your bike to a authorised service center or to a experienced garage . I think the setting is set to high and not a balanced one . During racing carburattor settings are set to high which results in low mileage and high pick-up power with 2 or 3 % more speed in terms of acceleration . Check your carburattor and tell the mechanic to make a equal Air-Fuel ration . It can be done manually but I wont think it is a good thing as you migh wreck the settings . And to all those people who are complaing please take your bike to the service center and simply tell them to make equal air-fuel ratio . I own Bajaj Discover 150s and 100m so from my knowledge and my experience I have solved the problem . Hope it helps all . Thanking you .

I am getting 38-42 and vibration takes place when reaching 60 speed
I have bought the Discover 150s. Bajaj claimed the fuel efficiency to be around 55 to 60kmpl sure but I’m getting 38 to 40kmpl. Advertisements claim 72kmpl. Big mileage problem.
i also in the same situation bought bike on last week completed 400km same gear issue.it doesn’t have that much comfort as review are.city driving of 2 hour will give you lower back pain.
i want to sue the showroom and co if they not resolve the gear problem.
I bought 150f… I never expected they play foul just for the promotion.. Sales persons said it’ll give you a mileage of 60kmpl for sure.. Where as ARAI rating is 72kmpl.
But I’m getting Surprising 42KMPL, i complained showroom many times, they said its unbelievable we have a review of minimum of 55kmpl. And they took my bike they tuned something and got my bike back with the same condition.. Bike is not smooth at top gear.. I also informed this to them..
Then after 1500 kms, my engine started to seize with the black smoke, and started to get 25kmpl, i called the service manager he did the same tuning again and said the was some misfiring in the engine.. Now the black smoke problem is solved but not fully… He said he’ll solve that in the next free service.. But until now i have not received more than 44kmpl… That too on a economy driving.. I’m not a sport or rash driver.. If i have to be i would have got Pulsar or Gixxer..
My suggestion go and collect some more reviews before buying this bike..
Don’t believe sales persons at showroom… I’ll mail to Bajaj about this problems, i completed 2900 kms. And not satisfied with the performance.. If Motoroids supports this it’ll be favorable for commuters with the honest reviews…
