The very successful Dacia/Renault Duster has been doing a world of good to its manufacturer. The Duster is easily among the top selling Compact SUVs across the globe and such is the demand for this car in India that it has managed to replace the Mahindra Scorpio at the top of the SUV sales charts.
However, all thanks to the advent of newer competition in the guise of equally hyped Ford EcoSport, popularity of the Duster have started witnessing quite a dip. While there definitely is no denying that the Duster is a well sorted out car and looks far from dated, the fresher looks and newer engines of the EcoSport have made a really good impression on the car buying lot.
We reported in detail when it emerged that the Duster facelift will make its public debut at the upcoming Frankfurt motor show later this month. Now, we have some more details on the refreshed car.
The Duster facelift is likely to go on sale in Belgium in November this year but the pre-booking for the refreshed car has already commenced.
Speaking about exterior styling, the Duster facelift comes with only minor updates which consist on gets a revised grille, re-profiled headlamps and a chrome tipped exhaust. On the inside, the Duster will sport a new dashboard and is likely to come with more equipment and features. However, pics of the interiors haven’t been published yet.
It is being said that the Dacia Duster facelift would debut with a 1.2-liter TCe turbocharged petrol engine that would have a max power of 120bhp and peak torque of 190Nm. However, official word on this is yet to be out and safely expect us to update you once that happens.
