Yamaha Motor India registers 5% growth in domestic sales during October 2014

Yamaha Motor India registers a growth of 5% in domestic sales during October 2014 as compared to the corresponding period last year. Along with its ongoing customer-centric activities, addition to the product line up like the Alpha and new variants under the FZ series – FZ Version 2.0, FZ-S Version 2.0 and Fazer Version 2.0 has been instrumental in boosting sales to higher ranks. The company also launched new variants under the SZ series – SZ-RR Version 2.0 with Blue Core Technology this festive season to further boost its share in the standard commuter segment. The company sold 54,362 units in October 2014 as against 51,808 units sold in October last year in the domestic market thereby registering a domestic sales growth of 5%.

Speaking about results, Roy Kurian, Vice President – Sales & Marketing, Yamaha Motor India said, “The incessant growth reinforces our belief in our business and strategic Outlook. Our scooter offerings, especially ‘Alpha’, and New variants of our FZ series bikes with Blue Core and Fuel Injection have been a catalyst in giving us good numbers over the past few months and now with the addition of SZ-RR Version 2.0 in our motorcycle lineup, we have strengthened our presence in the 150cc deluxe as well as commuter segment. Also, our customer-centric activities and special offers during the festive season helped us to achieve good numbers last month. The recent launches and innovative customer-connect programs that helped garner major sales for us and we certainly hope this sales trend will continue in the coming months as well.”
