What we have here with us today are clear spy images of the highly anticipated Yamaha FZ V2.0 Facelift, which was spotted by our friend Sohil Sakaria, who spotted this Yamaha FZ V2.0 Facelift test mule in Chennai.

The Yamaha FZ Facelift is expected to be launched by May this year and the updated bike sports many updates, all of which come together to bestow the model with a sense of freshness that will enable the motorcycle to fend off the heat from the upcoming rivals like the Suzuki Gixxer 155.

As is highly evident from the Yamaha FZ V2.0 facelift images we have here, the bike would look much like the Yamaha FZ Concept model we saw at the Expo earlier this year. The bike gets a sportier looking exhaust note, new air scoops near the fuel tank, a slightly different tail light and a number plate bracket that is sportier than that on the current bike. Also, the FZ’s single seat unit has been replaced by twin split seats arrangement. The bike also gets clear lens indicators and an updated centre console, which looks somewhat like the one on the Honda CB Trigger

Powering the Yamaha FZ facelift would be a more powerful engine, which could be a re-bored 170cc version of the current engine. Power is speculated to be around 16PS, with torque too being considerably higher.

We await the launch of the updated FZ Series. What about you?

Stay tuned to Motoroids for more images and details of the Yamaha FZ V2.0 facelift.

  1. all idea from Yamaha is good to get top end performance which is not avail with current model..but expected a rear disc…also additional mudguard is really not impressive, which gives a nasty looks of 200ns rear..

  2. again cost cutting? no kick rod and rear drum brake i think same 153 c.c engine with some tweaks to give better to speed!

  3. Sorry mate tried ma best , but had to take d pic in a bit rush so dint take d full side view
