Toyota Land Cruiser LC300 Bookings Open In India

Toyota has commenced the bookings for the new Land-Cruiser LC300 in India. Few dealerships have started accepting the bookings for a token amount of ₹10 lakh. This SUV has a huge fanbase and crazy demand all over the world. Since the new LC300 is already on sale in the global market, the waiting period for India could go up to more than a year. In fact, some markets command a waiting period of 2 to 3 years!

Although the India deliveries are expected to wait for a year, Toyota will sell LC300 as a fully imported unit just like the LC200. The new Land Cruiser was unveiled in 2021 but the India launch got continuously delayed due to chip shortage. However, there are a few privately imported units on the Indian streets. This flagship SUV of Toyota comes with a horizontally slatted chrome grille and redesigned headlamps with vents. Other details include Squared wheel arches, thinner tail lamps, a new tailgate, and a rear bumper. The India spec-version of LC300 is available in five exterior color options and beige, black, and red/black dual-tone interior options.

The interior of this new SUV is equipped with a 12.3-inch touchscreen with connected car techs such as Apple car play, Android auto, and a 14-speaker JBL audio system. The overseas model of this SUV offers 7 seat configuration, However, the India-spec model will offer 5 seat layout. The powertrain of the new Land Cruiser 300 is handled by the new 3.3-liter diesel unit producing 305 hp which comes paired to a 10-speed automatic gearbox. The LC300 comes with a 4×4 system as standard with deep snow and Auto modes. It also gets a Multi-Terrain Monitor system with an underbody camera. The ground clearance of this SUV is 230 mm. 

With an updated design and new features, this Toyota is all set to enter the Indian market. Although the company has not revealed any information regarding the pricing or launch date,  we can expect it to be priced at around ₹2 crores. Being a Toyota, we can expect a warranty of 3 year/1,00,000 km. After its launch, the Land Cruiser 300 will compete against Land Rover Range Rover.
