Tata Motors have launched the Tata Magic IRIS, a four-wheel, 3-4 seater small passenger carrier. The magic IRIS is essentially a better substitute for passenger carrying three wheelers. The company also launched the Tata Ace Zip, a smart micro truck with a payload of 600 kg for deep-penetration door-to-door goods movement.

The Tata Magic IRIS
The Tata Magic IRIS is a better alternative to the auto rickshaws and other similar three wheeled passenger carriers. The vehicle has an all steel body with hard top and double steel sheet doors thus offering better protection against the elements. Ingress and egress is easier with wider doors and so is seating with more space inside. There is more headroom & legroom with seatbelts for added safety. The car like independent McPherson strut suspension ensures a smooth and bump free ride. It comes with flexible seating options suited to meet different needs across states.
The magic IRIS is eqiuipped with a 611 cc, water cooled engine with 11bhp power and 31 Nm torque. The vehicle comes equipped with 12” radial tyres. Features which are better than the other vehicles in the segment include a well laid-out instrument panel, ergonomically designed sliding bucket seat, big windshield, side mirrors, glass windows and a dashboard mounted gear shifter.
The vehicle comes with a warranty of 1 year or 36,000km whichever is earlier.The Tata Magic IRIS is all set to be a head turner on Indian roads as it comes with 4 colour options – Arctic White, Ruby Red, School Yellow and Jet Black.

The Tata Ace Zip
The Ace Zip is a sub 600 kg micro truck which can navigate narrow streets without a problem. The micro truck also has applications for the rural market. Powered by the same engine as the Magic IRIS, the Ace Zip also has an output of 11hp and torque of 31 nm. The only water-cooled engine vehicle in the sub-600kg category, the Ace Zip is equipped with 12” radial tyres and large load body.
Ace Zip comes with comfortable seats, a roomy cabin, and better ergonomics for lesser driver fatigue. The ergonomically positioned dash board mounted gear shift lever enhances comfort in ride and handling while enhancing the roominess of the walk through cabin.
The vehicle comes with a warranty of 36000 km/ 12-month, whichever is earlier.
