Nissan India today reported sales in India of 4,106 vehicles in the month of October 2014. The company registered sales of 29,847 units so far in FY14, marking a growth of 71.5% over the same period last year.
Nissan Motor India Private Ltd. (NMIPL), a 100% subsidiary of Nissan Motor Co. Ltd. Japan was incorporated in 2005 and currently offers the Micra hatchback, the Datsun Go hatchback, the Sunny sedan and the Terrano SUV in India. Nissan together with its global alliance partner Renault set up a manufacturing plant and a Research & Development Centre near Chennai. Nissan in India has a portfolio of two brands, Nissan and Datsun.
