Nissan Evalia Transports Red Bull Racing’s Equipment and Staff at Formula One Indian Grand Prix

Nissan’s Light Commercial Vehicle Business Unit provided the Red Bull Racing team with ten all-new Evalia vehicles for supportig race operations at the recently concluded Formula One Indian Grand Prix.

Red Bull Racing has been in a partnership with Nissan since some time now. This year, the team has also made use of the NV200, NV350, Civilian and new NV400 at other 2012 F1 Grand Prix venues.

On the occasion of delivering the support vehicles to the team, Mr. Takayuki Ishida, MD & CEO of Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd,  had commented: “We are pleased to offer our latest model Nissan Evalia to the defending Formula One World Champions, Red Bull Racing, for the India Grand Prix. We are confident that the versatility and superior convenience of the Nissan Evalia will provide excellent support for Red Bull Racing’s operations at New Delhi, and that its powerful design will provide encouragement for the team—hopefully leading to a successful result in the race.”

Extensive travel is part and parcel of Formula One, and the transportation of our material and staff are an essential part of our successful operations. We are very reassured that the Evalia will be supporting our race operations at this year’s India Grand Prix.”

The Nissan Evalia, which has been recently launched in India, is powered by the globally-proven 1.5 dci straight-4 turbocharged diesel from Renault Nissan’s engine family, which can churn out 85 PS of power @ 3750 rpm and a maximum torque of 200 Nm @ 2000 rpm. The Evalia delivers a fuel efficiency of 19.3 kmpl of diesel (ARAI certified).
