Mahindra has hit a big sales milestone with the XUV 7XO. The SUV has crossed 70,000 deliveries in India within seven months of its launch. This works out to roughly 10,000 SUVs reaching customers every month, which is a strong number for a three row SUV in this price range.
The XUV 7XO was introduced in January 2026 as the updated version of the XUV700. Mahindra has given it a new look, a revised cabin and more equipment. The basic formula still revolves around a large family SUV with petrol and diesel engines, automatic gearboxes and the choice of six or seven seats.
Strong Sales From The Start
The monthly numbers show that customer interest has stayed fairly steady.
| Month | XUV 7XO Sales |
|---|---|
| January 2026 | 10,133 |
| February 2026 | 9,112 |
| March 2026 | 9,210 |
| April 2026 | 8,500+ |
| May 2026 | 9,338 |
| June 2026 | 8,500+ |
| July 2026 | 8,233 |
The seven month delivery figure has now crossed 70,000 units. The result also puts the 7XO ahead of several well known SUVs in its segment.
For comparison, the July 2026 numbers for the Tata Harrier and Safari were much lower. MG Hector and Hector Plus also recorded smaller numbers during the same period.
Petrol And Diesel Choices
The XUV 7XO uses two familiar Mahindra engines. Buyers can choose between a 2.0 litre turbo petrol and a 2.2 litre turbo diesel.
- Petrol: 203 PS and 380 Nm
- Diesel: Up to 185 PS and 450 Nm
- Gearboxes: 6 speed manual and 6 speed automatic
- AWD: Available on selected diesel automatic versions
- Seating: Six or seven seats
This gives buyers several options depending on their needs. The diesel versions also make sense for people who regularly drive long distances.
Lots Of Equipment
Mahindra has packed the higher variants with plenty of features. The dashboard can get three 12.3 inch screens, including a passenger display.
Other equipment includes:
