Mahindra Verito CS Launch Scheduled for March 2013

M&M has been working on a compact sedan version of the Logan, nay, Verito since quite some time now. The upcoming compact version of the entry level sedan is less than 4.0-meters in length. This will make the Verito eligible for only 10 percent excise duty instead of 22 percent applicable to cars longer than 4 meters.

Remember the Indigo CS? The Tata sedan which is less than 4-meters long and makes for a fabulous VFM car? Expect the Verito to be available for a lesser sticker price as well. The estimated cost benefits to M&M should be around Rs 35,000-50,000 and we expect that a good percentage of that amount will be passed to the customers.

The car will get a shorter boot lid and reworked tail section. The number also might move to the boot lid from its initial position at the rear bumper. The new Mahindra Verito Compact Sedan should be out by March 2013 and will carry over the engine options from the Verito full sized sedan.  The Mahindra Verito Compact Sedan will battle it out against the Tata Indigo eCS and the high selling Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire.
