The Royal Enfield Himalayan comes with a price tag of Rs. 1,55,545 (Rs. 1.55 lakh ,ex-showroom, Maharashtra) while the on-road price stands for Mumbai stands at Rs. Rs. 1,78,872 (Rs. 1.78 lakh). Bookings for the Himalayan will begin from tomorrow while deliveries are scheduled to start from this month itself.

The stage is set for the launch of the Himalayan
After a number of spottings ,testings and official video reveal, the Royal Enfield Himalayan is all set to be launched today. We will be bringing you the updates live from the venue for the Royal Enfield Himalayan. The highly anticipated motorcycle from Royal Enfield was unveiled on 2nd of February, a day prior to the 2016 Auto Expo that was held in Delhi.
Powering the adventure tourer will be a newly developed 411cc single cylinder, 4 stroke SOHC engine. This engine will produce a power output of 24.5 bhp at 6500 rpm while the peak torque of 32 Nm comes up at 4500 rpm. The motorcycle will ride on a 21 inch tyre on the front while the rear will feature a 17 inch tyre. Suspension duties will be taken care of by 41 mm telescopic forks with 200 mm travel up-front while the posterior will receive a linked monoshock suspension with 180 mm travel.
Tested extensively on a variety of terrains at the hands of many professionals, including one C S Santosh, the Himalayan is claimed to have been built to tread the tough Himalayan terrain better than any other motorcycle in its class. Company CEO Siddharth Lal has also written an emotional blog about the journey of the new motorcycle’s development.
