Kia’s K-Charge Initiative Unveiled

Kia India introduced the K-Charge Initiative which seamlessly integrates into the ‘MyKia’ app, is set to redefine the user experience for EV owners and non-Kia customers alike

Overcoming Range Anxiety

The K-Charge Initiative addresses a significant concern for EV users – Range Anxiety. With over 1000 EV charging stations strategically placed nationwide, Kia has partnered with leading Charge Point Operators (CPOs) such as Statiq, Charge Zone, Relux Electric, Lion Charge, and E-Fill to ensure an extensive and reliable charging network.

Accessibility for All

A move that distinguishes Kia from its competitors, the K-Charge services are not exclusive to Kia customers. This inclusivity underscores Kia’s commitment to supporting the entire EV community in India, fostering a collaborative approach towards sustainable mobility.

Strategic Partnerships

Kia’s collaboration with five prominent CPOs demonstrates a commitment to quality and reliability. Special arrangements with Relux Electric even offer Kia customers a remarkable three months of free charging, adding substantial value to the overall ownership experience.

Technological Integration

The ‘MyKia’ app, powered by NumoCity Technologies, integrates the CPOs seamlessly, providing users with a host of user-friendly functionalities.

Through an interactive map by Map My India, customers can locate charging stations, check availability, and make payments through the app’s wallet service, eliminating the need for multiple applications.

Vision for a Sustainable Future

Mr. Hardeep Singh Brar, National Head of Sales and Marketing – Kia India, emphasized that K-Charge is more than a convenience initiative; it’s a pivotal step towards making sustainable mobility accessible to everyone.

Kia’s vision, encapsulated in the ‘EV for All’ initiative, aims to achieve an annual sales target of one million EVs by 2026 and expand to 1.6 million units annually by 2030.

Accelerating EV Adoption in India

Kia’s strategic approach aligns with the global push towards electric vehicles. The company has outlined its EV strategy in India, including the launch of global EV models and a locally manufactured EV in the RV body style by 2030. This forward-looking vision positions Kia as a leader in driving the adoption of electric vehicles in the Indian market.
