Bajaj Pulsar 200SS
The upcoming Bajaj Pulsar 200SS is essentially a faired-sibling of the 200NS and is slated to become the flagship product in BAL”s product portfolio. The Bajaj Pulsar 200SS will have the quintessential full fairing and more features such as twin projector lamps and ABS. Powering this bike would be a fuel injected 200cc, single cylinder motor that is likely to have a max power output of 25PS. Bajaj Pulsar 200SS launch is likely to happen in second half of this year and the bike could be priced around INR 1.22 lakhs.
The Harley-Davidson Street 750 was unveiled at the India Bike Week 2014 and has been in talks since almost half a year now. The new Harley Davidson Street 750 has been developed keeping the Indian market in mind and will be built at the manufacturer’s Manesar facility. Powering the bike would be an all-new Revolution X V Twin engine that is mated to a six speed gearbox. In all likelihood, the Street 750 would very well spearhead Harley Davidson’s growth plans in India.
Hero took us by a big, albeit very pleasant, surprise when it took the wraps off the new HX250R sportsbike recently. The HX250R will be showcased at Auto Expo 2014 and is slated to become the flagship product in Hero MotoCorp’s portfolio of bikes. Powering this bike is a 249cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, fuel-injected engine that has a max power of 31bhp and comes mated to a six-speed gearbox. The bike gets disc brakes at front and rear and has Combined Braking System and ABS on the options list. The dawn of the new-age Hero? Definitely!
Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India will showcase the CBR500R at the Auto Expo 2014. The Honda CBR500R is powered by a 471cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin motor that has a max power of 46.9bhp. Honda claims that the CBR500R will be 85% as fuel efficient as the Honda CBR250 and the new Honda CBR500R should offer good blend of performance and affordability.
The highly anticipated Hyosung Aquila 250 India launch will take place at the Expo itself and as can be seen in the image, the upcoming model is visually a ‘true-blue’ cruiser. The bike could come at a price of INR 2.2 lakhs. The Aquila 250 is powered by a DOHC, 8 valve, 75-degree, 249cc, v-twin, oil cooled engine that has a max power of 26.21 BHP.
Hyosung GD250N India debut will take place along with the Aquila 250 launch and it is being expected that the Hyosung GD250N India launch will happen in second quarter of this year. The GD250N is a tasty looking naked street bike that is powered by a 249cc, single pot motor. This engine has a max power of 28 BHP and peak torque of 24 Nm.
Vardenchi has tied up with Italian bike maker Moto Morini to bring the latter’s products to India. At the Auto Expo 2014, the bike maker will launch the new Granpasso motorcycle that will be powered by a Moto Morini 1187cc, V-twin powerplant. This engine has a max power of 118bhp and comes mated to a six speed manual transmission.
The Moto Morini Scrambler 1200 All Terrain Bike will share its 1187cc engine with the Greenpasso. For the Scrambler, the motor will have a marginally reduced max power rating of 117bhp and will come mated to a six speed gearbox.
We are looking forward to having a rendezvous with these bikes, what about you?
