The Fat Boy Special is a visual upgrade over the standard Fat Boy motorcycle model. It comes with a 1584cc V twin  engine good for 125Nm of torque produced at a lowly 3500 rpm. Changes over the standard model include new colours, new seat, a new design for the handlebar, H-D emblem on the tank modifications made to the foot board. The engine for the bike is black powder coated with silver-ish accentuation for the cylinder fins. The bike has a mystical, dark, sinister appeal to it which its standard version lacks.

Commenting on the launch Harley-Davidson India Managing Director, Mr Anoop Prakash, said, “We are now launching the Harley-Davidson Fat Boy Special, offering a special take on the motorcycle that embodies Harley-Davidson’s rich heritage.”
